The sun finally found a small gap in the clouds in the late afternoon of November 7, 2018. The temperatures dropped steadily toward -18 degrees C during our week near the shoreline of the west side of Hudson Bay. The rugged, wind-blown landscape took on a magical golden aura as evening approached, bringing added delight after a cold day observing wildlife east of Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.
